History

Pinjarra Bakery & Patisserie originally started as a small business within a business. It was the conscious need for a new challenge & ambitious vision that encouraged owners Narda & Larry Pantaleo to start an in-store bakery.

In 1997 the bakery moved to new premises and sustained itself as a separate identity- now prestigiously known as “Pinjarra Bakery & Patisserie”. It was during this time that the bakery started entering their popular products in competitions like the Perth Royal and Northam shows- receiving many awards.

Over the next 10 years the bakery continued to flourish in its new environment. Local support was tremendous, business was continually improving and the awards kept flowing in! Pinjarra Bakery & Patisserie fast became a community icon in the Murray region- becoming most famous for their award winning pies, cakes & bread.

In 2006 Pinjarra Bakery won the prominent Telstra country wide “Business of the year Award” for the Mandurah Peel Region. Winning this award was a huge feat for the business and the response from customers was very humbling. It was during this time that plans were under way for an expansion of the business.

In the later part of 2006, Pinjarra Bakery & Patisserie went on to win a bag full of awards at the Royal & Northam shows- including most successful pastry exhibiter at the Northam show.

They entered the annual “Great Aussie Pie Competition” and won 4 Gold, 2 Silver & 1 Bronze for their entries. Of these entries, 1 Gourmet Pie in particular stood out above the rest in the country.

“Rosemary’s Lamb” went on to win the National award for the Gourmet Red meat section- the BEST in Australia!

In June 2007 the eagerly anticipated NEW Pinjarra Bakery & Patisserie premises were finally unveiled. The response from locals & visitors alike was warm, welcoming & came with such positive, high praise.

The new bakery combines their traditional award winning recipes with a modern, innovative facility. There is an internet station, public & disabled amenities and EFTPOS facilities for you convenience. They now also provide larger scale dining options inside and al fresco- with plenty of room for group bookings.

Now, they employ over 40 staff who together as a team-work to make your experience at Pinjarra Bakery & Patisserie as memorable as can be. They have created a space that their valued customers can rely on to relax, retreat & enjoy the very best of their award winning secret recipes.
